Reconstruction Watch is intended to assist low and moderate income New Yorkers in understanding and influencing the reconstruction process. Through its research and publications, Reconstruction Watch provides these New Yorkers and the organizations that advocate for them with timely information that can be used to participate effectively in the reconstruction process.
Fiscal Policy Institute
The Fiscal Policy Institute (FPI)
is the coordinator of the Labor Community Advocacy Network (LCAN), which
is a network of over 50 New York labor unions, community groups,
research and advocacy organizations, and service providers working to
insure that union members, community organizations, and other sectors of
civil society have a role in decisions that are made about how to
rebuild the city. FPI is a nonpartisan research and education
organization that focuses on the broad range of tax, budget, economic
and related public policy issues that affect the quality of life and the
economic well-being of New York State residents.
GJF is a national leader in providing timely, accurate information to the public, the media, public officials and economic development professionals on best practices in state and local job subsidies. GJF works with a broad spectrum of organizations as they seek to ensure that subsidized businesses are held accountable for family-wage jobs and other effective results.
